On Saturday, November 12th, the Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary presented their 23rd annual Holiday Luncheon & Auction By the Bay Benefit. One of my girlfriends, Yuri Kaneda, invited us all to the event which she donates to every year.
It was at the Hilton San Diego Resort and even though it rained, it didn't stop the supporters from coming. The speakers and staff did a great job. There was a silent auction and then lunch.
After the guest speaker there was a Live Auction with the favorite, a Labradoodle Puppy named "Denver".
What a cutie!
The Healing Arts Department helps through an environment so that the children aren't afraid of a typical hospital. They have magicians, musicians, storytellers, mimes, and costumed characters. Through the different playrooms and therapy the children feel very safe.
The event was very inspirational.
